So, who are we? The makers of these great pillows, Cindy Tomm and Mel Maghuyop, are actors who toured with the musical Miss Saigon in North America and hatched the idea of "the original sushi pillow" while on tour. How did the idea come about for a sushi pillow? It all started when Cindy mentioned wanting a pillow that looked like a sushi roll. In response Mel, using his artistic skills, made one from scratch (because he could not find one anywhere!). As a result ... the original sushi pillow was born! Now the perfect food has become the perfect food pillow. Thanks for your patronage!

So what's the story behind our logo? It is a simple design which places the Japanese character for "harmony" within a sushi pillow outline. Here at the original sushi pillow we have a goal of ...finding the harmony between food and art.
